Squarespace Shipping Label Maker — Free for Squarespace Stores
Squarespace Commerce includes built-in shipping tools through their partnership with Shippo, covering USPS and UPS for domestic shipments. But Squarespace store owners frequently sell items that go beyond those defaults — handmade goods shipped internationally, large items requiring freight, or specialty items where a regional carrier is better. Our label maker bridges that gap. Copy your customer's address from the Squarespace order, paste it in, add the order number as a reference, and print a professional label in any carrier format within seconds. It's particularly useful for Squarespace stores selling artwork, ceramics, furniture, or other specialty goods that require specific carrier handling or custom label formats. No plugin installation needed, no Squarespace integration — just a clean, fast label creation workflow that complements whatever shipping solution you're already using.
Tips for Squarespace Commerce Sellers
- Squarespace order numbers typically appear as #1001, #1002, etc. — include the full order number in the reference field for easy matching during fulfillment
- For stores selling art prints and large-format prints, use the Tube package type and enable FRAGILE marking before printing
- Squarespace's built-in Shippo integration covers USPS and UPS domestic — use our tool for FedEx, DHL, or any carrier Squarespace doesn't support natively
- For ceramics, glassware, and other fragile items, add THIS SIDE UP marking in addition to FRAGILE to guide handler orientation
Who this is for
- ✓Squarespace store owners selling handmade, fine art, or specialty goods who need labels for carriers Squarespace doesn't support natively
- ✓Stores with international orders requiring carrier-specific label formats outside Squarespace's domestic-focused shipping tools
- ✓Small creative businesses — photographers, ceramicists, jewelers — who want a fast standalone label tool without managing a full shipping platform
- ✓Squarespace sellers who also sell at craft fairs or in-person and want one label tool for all their channels
When this isn’t the right tool
- •Squarespace stores already using the built-in Shippo integration for all domestic USPS/UPS orders — that's well-integrated and sufficient for most
- •High-volume e-commerce on Squarespace that needs automated fulfillment triggers and tracking emails — use a full-featured shipping platform for that
Squarespace Commerce shipping workflow
- 1
Open the Squarespace order
Go to Commerce → Orders in your Squarespace dashboard. Click the order to see the full shipping address.
- 2
Copy the customer address
Copy the name, address, city, state, and ZIP exactly. Squarespace validates addresses at checkout so the data should be clean.
- 3
Paste in and add the order number
Enter the Squarespace order number (e.g. #1042) in the reference field. Add your store name in the Company field for branded labels.
- 4
Choose your carrier and label size
Select the carrier format that matches where you're buying postage. 4×6 thermal for fastest output.
- 5
Print, buy postage, and mark as fulfilled
After shipping, paste the tracking number into the Squarespace order to trigger the fulfillment confirmation email to the customer.

Limitations & caveats
- •No Squarespace API connection — address entry requires manual copy-paste or CSV import.
- •Tracking numbers must be manually entered into Squarespace to update the order and notify the customer.
- •Customs documentation for international orders is not generated by this tool — use your carrier's portal for customs forms.
