1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when using ShippingLabel, including:

- Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account. - Label data: sender and recipient addresses, package details, and carrier preferences you enter when creating labels. For signed-in users, a minimal log of each generated label (recipient name, city, country, label size, carrier format, timestamp) is stored in your account so you can see your label history and so we can show accurate usage. This log is never shared and is deleted when you delete your account. - Payment information: billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. - Usage data: pages visited, features used, label formats selected, and other interactions with the Service. - Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

- Provide and maintain the Service, including generating shipping labels based on the data you input. - Process payments and manage your subscription. - Send transactional communications such as account confirmations, billing receipts, and service updates. - Improve the Service through usage analytics and feature development. - Respond to your support requests and inquiries. - Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your address data for marketing purposes unrelated to the Service.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

ShippingLabel uses cookies and similar technologies to:

- Keep you signed in to your account. - Remember your preferences and settings. - Analyze how the Service is used so we can improve it. - Measure the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the Service. We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your data:

- Stripe: payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information. - Analytics providers: we use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service. These tools may collect anonymized usage data, IP addresses, and device information.

We require all third-party service providers to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Label data associated with your account is retained for your convenience and can be deleted at your request. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.
