How to Reprint a USPS Shipping Label

To reprint a USPS label you bought on Click-N-Ship, sign in, open Shipping History and choose Print/Reprint from the Actions menu. There is a firm deadline: USPS only lets you print or reprint a label until 11:59 PM Central Time on the label's ship date. After that, the reprint option is gone. If you bought the label somewhere else, such as eBay, Etsy, Pirate Ship or another postage site, reprint it there. That site holds the label, not USPS.com.

Step-by-step

Sign in to Click-N-Ship
Go to usps.com, open Click-N-Ship and sign in with the same account that bought the label. Click-N-Ship history is separate from your USPS.com Activity History, so labels won't show there.

Open Shipping History
Find the shipment by date, address or tracking number. Shipping History goes back six months, but reprinting only works on the label's ship date.

Choose Print/Reprint or Save as PDF
Open the Actions menu next to the label. Print/Reprint sends it to your printer. Save as PDF keeps a copy you can print later the same day.

Print it at full size
Print at 100% (actual size) on white paper or a self-adhesive label. USPS recommends a laser printer, or an inkjet at 600 dpi. Tape it flat on one side of the box, without taping over the barcode.

Good to know

•Deadline: Print/Reprint and Save as PDF work only until 11:59 PM Central Time on the ship date you chose.
•Missed the deadline? Don't mail an old label. USPS says labels with a stale ship date may be returned to you. Request a refund for the unused label in Shipping History and buy a new one.
•No printer? When you buy a label, choose 'Print Labels Later at the Post Office' (Label Broker). USPS emails a QR code, and the Post Office prints the label for you.
•Labels bought on eBay, Etsy, Pirate Ship or another site are reprinted on that site, under its own rules.

Reprint vs. using the same label twice

Reprinting is fine when the first copy jammed, smudged or got lost before you mailed the package. You paid once, and the label number is the same.

Using one label on two packages is not fine. USPS says each label number is unique and can be used only once. Duplicate label numbers go on a list that the Postal Inspection Service monitors, and knowingly reusing a label is fraud. If you print a duplicate by mistake, throw it away.

Can't print your USPS label?

Use Save as PDF from the payment page or Shipping History, then print the PDF from another device the same day.
Use Label Broker: pick 'Print Labels Later at the Post Office' and show the emailed QR code at the counter.

Print two labels on one sheet

Click-N-Ship can print two 4 x 6-1/2 inch labels on one 8-1/2 x 11 inch self-adhesive sheet. Choose 'Print labels without receipt (2 per page)'. It only works for labels with no customs form.
