Shipping Tips for Electric Bikes & E-Scooters

Remove the lithium battery before shipping if possible — battery shipped separately may qualify for different carrier rules
USPS prohibits lithium batteries over 100Wh, which disqualifies most e-bike batteries from USPS service entirely
UPS and FedEx Ground accept lithium batteries in devices (e-bikes) with proper UN3481 labeling on the outer box
Partially discharge the battery to 30% charge before shipping — this is a carrier requirement and reduces fire risk
