Shipping Tips for Comic Books & Graphic Novels

Bag and board every comic — polybag + backing board is the minimum
Use rigid comic mailers (Gemini/BCW brand) for raw comics — not bendy cardboard mailers
Sandwich between two extra boards for valuable issues
Never fold or bend — mark 'DO NOT BEND' prominently
For slabbed comics (CGC/CBCS): use a double-walled box with 2 inches of bubble wrap on all sides
Priority Mail for comics over $100 — faster, more careful handling
Track and insure: spine damage is often attributable to careless handling, insurance covers it
