USPS Media Mail is cheap but risky (slower, less handling care). Most experienced record sellers use Ground Advantage with proper record mailers. Shipping Tips for Vinyl Records

Use purpose-built record mailers — the reinforced cardboard kind, not plain mailers
Remove the record from the jacket before shipping — prevents seam splits from shock
Wrap the record in plastic (reuse inner sleeves) and the jacket separately in tissue paper
Add corner protectors or rigid cardboard flanges for valuable records
Label 'DO NOT BEND' prominently on both sides of the mailer
Media Mail is cheapest but slower (2-8 days) and handled less carefully — skip for valuable records
For sets (2xLP, box sets), use a proper box, not a mailer — weight is too much for cardboard envelopes
