How to Schedule Carrier Pickup at Your Home
All major carriers offer home pickup — USPS for free, UPS and FedEx often for a fee. Schedule online and the carrier picks up your labeled packages from your porch or mailbox without you needing to visit a post office. Here's how for each carrier.
Step-by-step
- 1
USPS: free pickup
Go to usps.com/pickup. Enter your address and schedule pickup for the next business day. Free for all packages with USPS labels. Your regular mail carrier picks up during normal delivery.
- 2
UPS: fee-based pickup
Go to ups.com → Schedule a Pickup. Enter your address and package count. UPS charges $6.50-$11 per pickup depending on account. UPS account holders can schedule recurring daily pickups.
- 3
FedEx: similar pricing to UPS
Go to fedex.com → Schedule a Pickup. $5-$15 per pickup. FedEx Express charges more than FedEx Ground; Ground may offer free pickup with account contracts.
- 4
DHL: via MyDHL+
For DHL Express pickups, use MyDHL+ → Schedule Pickup. Free for DHL Express Prepaid accounts; fees apply otherwise.
